Colt is in his second year of cowboy poetry.  He is 9 years old and lives in Avon, Utah.  This year he had the opportunity to perform a poem on Fox New's Good Day Utah with Big Budha to promote the Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous.  At that Rendezvous he won his division at the kids poetry contest with an original poem.  He loves to shoot anything and is a member of the Youth Hunter Education Challenge.  He also loves horses and is in his third year of 4H Ranch Roping and his first year of 4H Horse. He is very excited about the opportunities that lay ahead of him with Cowboy Poetry.

Colton Blankman He likes to go by Colt.  9 Years old... will be 10 in May.  Colt has just discovered a love for cowboy poetry within the last two years.  He entered the Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous kids poetry contest last year which was his first experience.  This year he was able to perform a poem on Fox News Utah with Big Budha.  He won his division of the kids contest at this years Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous with an original poem.  And was invited to perform that poem in front of the student body at his school with an audience of 800 plus.  So this year the cowboy poetry bug has really hit him.  He is looking for new opportunities to gain more experience.  Colt loves to shoot.  Muzzleloader's are his favorite but he loves shooting anything.  He is pretty handy with a bow as well. He has a small obsession for knives and has a pretty decent collection going.  He has been involved in the local 4H ranch roping  group for the last two years where he is learning to be a header.  He is a good kid with a big heart who is thoughtful and always willing to help.
