Colt Blankman is a 12 year old Cowboy Poet from Avon, Utah. He performed his first poem at the Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous kids’ poetry contest when he was 8.

The next year he won that contest with an original poem and was hooked. 2016 and 2017 had him performing at schools, community events, 4H, talent shows, Cowboy Poetry Gatherings in Utah and Idaho and at the Ag Agents National Convention in Salt Lake City.

Colt loves the classic cowboy poems, patriotic poems and enjoys writing some of his own. He is active in Horse and Ranch Horse 4H with ranch roping and sorting being his favorite. He is a member of the Cache Valley Youth Hunter Education Challenge Team. He loves to shoot anything from archery to muzzleloaders. Colt tells folks that he was born 150 years late.

Following a year of amazing opportunities he just released his first CD “Pullin’ That Trigger”. Colt is excited for 2018 and all the opportunities it holds and can’t wait to hit the road to share a little bit of the cowboy way of life and a poem or two! You can follow his adventures on his blog or contact him at
